Advisory on Defacement of Indian Passports by Travel Agents

It has come to light that on multiple occasions, Indian passports have been used as an advertising platform by many unscrupulous travel agents, defacing the cover of the passport by pasting their agency/company’s stickers.
This is to inform that the National Emblem with Ashoka Chakra has some security features on it. Pasting stickers on it with high quality adhesive masks the
National Emblem and tampers with the security features. Besides, such act amount to disrespecting the National Emblem/Symbols, which is an offence.
All Indian passport holders are strictly advised to prevent such acts
